Weather – RFP Chicago Precip index model allows for less wet to dry conditions for 2010.  Chicago temp index model shows decadal cool trend still intact and still due for a long term trend turn to warmer than normal.

• Corn crop condition was pegged near high for most of the year and when the research had suggested a slightly higher probability for a decline in condition than an increase.
• A forecast for 144 yield was incorrect and intra-year calculation never declined below 151 yield.  The previous year forecast was for 143 yield and there were intra-year calculations to support the annual report opinion (pre-growing season) but the crop finished at higher yield.
